About Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a technique of hands-on health care that treats the joints, muscles and other supporting tissues of the body. The primary areas of Chiropractic treatment involve the spine and pelvis, but Chiropractors are also trained to diagnose and treat conditions in the arms, legs or head.

The most commonly used method of Chiropractic treatment is referred to as an adjustment or manipulation. The Chiropractor carefully positions the targeted joints and applies a quick thrust to gap the joint and return lost movement.

Chiropractors may also use adjunctive treatments, including soft tissue therapy, nutrition, electrical modalities, stretching, exercise and stress management to help you achieve the best possible results.

Chiropractic has been practiced formally for over 100 years, while the art of spinal adjustment has been around for ages and has been documented extensively in historical literature and art.

Recent research has shown Chiropractic care to be safe, effective and affordable when compared to other forms of treatment for muscle and joint complaints.
